While the remote is turned off, press and hold the main power/gear button for 5 seconds to enter the system menu. Use the screen to navigate to the pairing settings, then press and hold the skateboard's power button for 8-10 seconds until the lights indicate pairing mode to connect the devices.
For boards with 3rd generation hardware (such as Atlas Pro and Flex Pro), download the 'ExSkate' app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. For older boards using R1 or R2 remotes, use the standard 'Exway' app.
Open the ExSkate app and connect it to your R3 remote via Bluetooth. If a firmware update is available, the app will prompt you to download it. It will first upload the update to your remote via OTA; you can then follow the remote's prompts to push the update to the board's ESC.
Exway boards carry an IP53 to IP55 rating, offering resistance to standard splashes and dust. However, they are not fully waterproof and should not be submerged or ridden in heavy rain, deep puddles, or excessively muddy environments to avoid severe electrical damage and voiding the warranty.
